Adam had to go to Pomona, California for work at the end of March. Since two of Kristen's brothers and their families live in Burbank, we thought, hey! We should all go. So...we did. We flew into Burbank, drove to Nolan's house and hung out, then Adam drove to Pomona for the show. Turns out, he didn't need to do much the next day, so he headed back to Burbank and hung out. Kristen's parents, her aunt, and her grandparents also came down for the weekend! Here's a snap shot of things we did that week:
- Toured Dreamworks Animation studios with Nolan, and toured Aaron's recording studio (we also toured Stephanie's library, but didn't get any pictures).

- Ate out at some cool places, including the Buchanan Arms, an English pub - the guy who served us seemed to be pretty impressed that we were actual Buchanans.

- Went to the beach. We went to walk through some caves, but didn't make it before the wave came. Scarlett was really freaked out, but Daddy saved her.

- A really cool book store, and happy meals in the park.

| Adam had to work this day |
- Rode the train, ponies, and the carousel at Griffith Park. The carousel is where Walt Disney came up with the idea for Disneyland, and Scarlett had a blast riding the ponies.

- We also made a fancy bottled soda run. I got Black Lemonade. We had a few people try it.
All in all, we had a lot of fun, and so nice to be with family. Now people should come visit us!
That looks like an awesome pony ride! That's sweet. Looks like you had a blast. Fun to see pictures and stories.
ReplyDeleteSO FUN! I wish I could hang out with you all. The family is looking adorable, and now I must ask where you get the Black Lemonade... I'd like to use some on Rich.
ReplyDeleteSorry Janae - I've never been good at responding on blogs. We got it at a place in Los Angeles that specializes in all kinds of (mostly alcoholic) drinks. I'd recommend finding a specialty drink shop (with lots of different bottled sodas).
